“On Aug. 30 of this year (2020), I was floating on a dock on Frost Pond in Dublin , N.H., when to my surprise, I saw what seemed to be a pod of jellyfish? I did not first believe what I was seeing because I did not know that freshwater jellies even existed. After capturing some in a mug and doing some research, I found that Craspedacusta sowerbyi (freshwater jellyfish) were first discovered in the United States in 1908 and have been reported in 48 states.

My research will focus on woman during the Civil War era, how they were treated, and what woman did in general. And what were their roles during the time frame of when The Civil War took place? I would also like to research about my hometown and how it was impacted or what took place during the same time frame.
